Matches run by Intertype AS are held on varied and exciting venues, all of which go towards the club championship, as well as a few individual trophies incorporated into this. Also, a closed season pole league, of four matches, are held on the front lake at Colnbrook. For our younger members, we hold a junior competition of three matches, and for our specimen hunters, we are holding a 24hour carp match on our back lake at Colnbrook.

Fees for our matches are minimal, no peg fees are charged either. We have a great bunch of anglers who enjoy each others company which creates a friendly, yet still competetive, atmosphere. On all matches, the draw takes place at 8.00am, with the matches lasting 5 hours from 9.30am – 2.30pm. Seperate nets are required for silvers and for carp, with net limits set at 50lb.

MATCH RULES

Match fees – £5.00 per angler plus an optional £1 silvers pools.

Draw 8.00am. Fish 9.30am – 2.30pm.  Any fish that is hooked before, or on the whistle, will have a 15 minute time frame to be landed and netted.

ALL keepnets, landing nets, unhooking mats, weigh slings and weigh bags must be dipped in the dip tanks upon arrival and allowed to dry. No keepnets to disturb the water until 15 minutes before the start of the match.

Seperate keepnets are required for the retention of both carp and silverfish. All nets have a limit of 50lb with a 10% leeway, so any net weighing between 50-55lb will be classified as 50lb, anything over 55lb, that net will be disqualified. Any angler not at his peg at the time of “weighing-in”, will lose all his nets.

Most baits are acceptable, with the exception of floating baits and lures.
